On April 6, 2026, the Ohio Railroad Association sent a letter to members of the Ohio Congressional Delegation recommending a list of policies to incorporate into the 2026 Surface Transportation Reauthorization Bill. The current surface transportation reauthorization, enacted under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), expires on September 30, 2026. This five-year authorization covers federal highway, transit, and rail programs.
